This collection’s inspiration was a NY subculture, the early 90’s in Manhattan, where the role of the working women was systematically increasing. It was the American women, who has shown how to get to the top of a professional career. Women must be stronger than ever to be a part of a men’s business world. Working American women gave an example to the Europeans. But it didn’t make them forget about their comfort, and that’s how the „perfect suit + sporty shoes” image was born. Comfort factor became very important, and high heels were worn only in the office.

At the same time, on the other side of the ocean, the 90’s brought democracy and freedom to the Eastern Europe countries. 90’s was the time of the hard, positivist work, bringing political, economical and cultural changes. Time of consolidation. Minimalism is number one in the fashion of this period. Simple forms with no ornaments, monochromatic colors, lack of patterns are the indicative of a new style. Opening to new means opening to the comfort of life – just as in my new collection. Also the 50’s are inspiring me, flared skirts and emphasizing feminine waist. Geometric cuts bring modernity. Comfortable knitwear and wool in black, gray, red and écru are dominant colors. These are the Kossmann’s colors. Lots of new models appear, which main motive is comfort and understanding the working women’s needs.
